See the city through a different lens. Learn route-making, map reading and embark on a city-wide scavenger hunt adventure connecting Portland's trail system. Date: Sunday, August 3rd Time: 9am–4pm Location: Portland, ME Best For: All levels Max Group Size: 10 It's adult summer camp! Join Effie (she/her), a PMBIA Certified Mountain Bike Coach, for a day of exploration, skill-building, and community. This event is a perfect blend of adventure and learning, all wrapped up in a day full of fun. What to Expect: CONNECT ~ Feel the power of shared adventure and make lasting connections with other women. Ride alongside a supportive group led by a passionate leader as you empower each other on and off the trails. GROW ~ Gain confidence in route-making and trail navigation. You’ll learn how to read maps, use navigation apps, and ride on different types of terrain—including rocks, roots, and bridges. Skills practice will be woven throughout the day to help you build comfort and competence. EXPLORE ~ Discover Portland from a new perspective! We’ll connect some of our favorite local trails—including Evergreen, Fore River, Virginia Woods, and Back Cove. This adventure will give you insight into the city’s larger and smaller trail systems, perfect for mountain biking or commuting. JOY ~ Break free from the routine and embrace the joy of a day spent biking. Enjoy the freedom of exploring the city with a playful scavenger hunt and channel your inner kid again on the trails. This camp is designed for women who are physically and emotionally capable of riding for a full day. While we welcome various skill levels, participants should have basic trail riding experience and the proper equipment. The camps’s pace will accommodate different riders, but please ensure you’re prepared for the physical demands of the day for your own safety and enjoyment. A detailed email with meeting location, what to bring, and other event details will be sent a week before the event. Lunch will be provided, but participants should bring their own water, snacks, a well-tuned bike, and appropriate clothing and gear. Have questions? Cancellation Policy
1. Deposit and Tuition Payment A non-refundable deposit of is due at the time of registration. The remaining tuition balance is due 14 days before the retreat begins. 2. Timely Payment We kindly ask that retreat balances be paid within 3 days of receiving a payment request via email. Failure to complete payment may result in the forfeiture of your spot. 3. Cancellations and Transfers If you need to cancel or modify your registration for any reason, please email us at info@lupine-collective.com. Once 14 days of a retreat and full tuition has been collected, we are unable to offer refunds. However, in some cases, tuition or deposits may be transferred to another program. 4. Weather-Related Cancellations In the event of extreme weather that prevents us from holding the program safely—and no indoor alternative is available—the retreat may be cancelled or rescheduled. Refunds will be issued for weather-related cancellations. 5. Unexpected Circumstances If unforeseen circumstances arise that affect your ability to participate, please reach out to info@lupine-collective.com. We are committed to finding the best possible solution.
